Learn about the importance of developing physical literacy through unstructured play and the benefits of risky play and its role in early childhood development. This hands on session will enhance your knowledge through stats, activities and creative ideas to start enhancing the development of physical literacy through various unstructured and risky play resources, activities and discussions. We will discuss the importance risky play plays on early childhood development, the barriers educators have when it comes to risky play and how to properly weigh the pros and cons of the activity and how to start the conversation with parents and caregivers on the benefits of risky play.
